The cuts

Part 2 of yesterday’s story must wait another day. Vanity calls.

The before and after haircut photos have arrived.

Before:

After, with flatiron styling. It will probably never look this way again, and please do pardon the obscene flash:

And, au natural, or the way it looks most days:

Pitter’s before (a la Kitchen Shears Cuts):

Pitter, with his first professional cut. Note the ubiquitious stuffed animal:

We’re a well-groomed duo, no?

I really like the new haircut, and I think it looks better au naturel, which is good for you since there is presumably less work involved in achieving that look:-).

You really are showing much sooner than you did the first time around (not that you are looking large BY ANY MEANS, and I think you are WAY too hard on yourself)! How exciting. Seeing the photos really makes it real!! Please post more….we can track your progress like we did during the Pearson Boston days!!

I think that your hair looks great in all the pics!
:-) But I’m like the first comment that you are lucky it looks so nice au natural, since that’s the best (and easiest way).
What a cute little haircut for Pitter, too! They always look so much older when they “get their hairs cut” (as my girls used to say). ;-)

  • Cute cuts! You guys look great :)

  • Thanks, peeps.
Emerald City: I am two months ahead of Pitter’s pregnancy in terms of showing and weight gain. Part of it is that it’s number 2 and part of it is that I’m a suburban lazy-ass now. And I am F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G out but trying to find some patience about it; it may even out over the summer or I may end up gaining 40 pounds instead of 30. Either way, I’m a highly motivated gal and WILL lose the weight a year or two after I’ve had Patter. So I need to CHILL.

  • Your hair looks awesome. Did you really cut Pitter’s yourself (before going to a professional)? I’d never have the guts to try it on my own. I have a hard enough time getting my boy to sit still for nail clippings.

  • Hey, I gained SEVENTY FIVE pounds with my first kid. I shudder to think what would happen if I ever had another.

Your hair looks fantastic, and your pregnancy looks good on you too.

  • Yes, great haircuts!

I read your About page the other day, it’s really very entertaining.

  • The haircut is great. I’m growing mine out and hope it eventually lays as prettily as yours!
