The Pitter School of Misheard Lyrics

Jump to Comments

Pitter, guess where Daddy is RIGHT NOW?

Where?

Where did he fly yesterday?

To Boston!

Yep. And he’s at a concert listening to one of your favorite bands right this very minute!

I don’t know which band.

Who sings “Magnificent”?

U2!

Yes.

I want them to play “Do You Know the Tiny Bay!”

Well, I doubt they’ll cover Green Day*, but you never know.

+++++++++++++

*Pitter believes ”Know Your Enemy” = “Do you Know the Tiny Bay?” (or Time of Day). True story: My mother spent quite some time in the car one afternoon trying to find a radio station that gave the “time of day” per Pitter’s insistence that he hear it.

  • Sweet bippy! When I was little, I called Away in a Manger “The Catalog Song.” I misunderstand “The cattle are lowing.” Hee :)

  • Alex calls matchbox twenty’s “Bright Lights” by the title “Home.” It’s his favorite song.

    My best friend’s little brother thought Madonna was singing that she was “swimming in a cereal bowl” (as opposed to being a Material Girl).
